Anavasi Editions, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of their bookstore, announces a travel literature competition.

At a time when social media inundates us daily with images and videos of travel interest, we are looking for the experience that does not fit in one click, the travel narrative beyond photography.

  1. The works must be literary texts, on a travel theme, in the Greek language, in the form of a novella, a novel, or a collection of short stories with a length of 20,000-40,000 words
  2. We expect to receive prose rather than essays, journalistic texts, poetry collections or photo albums.
  3. The start date for submission of entries is Friday, March 1, 2024 and the closing date is Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
  4. The results will be announced in 2024 at an event organized for the awarding of the prize.
  5. The work to be awarded will be published by Anavasi publications.
  6. Every adult has the right to participate in the competition, regardless of place of residence and nationality.

  8. Each entry will receive a unique confirmation email to ensure valid and timely receipt. If you do not receive the relevant email, your participation has not been confirmed.
  9. Each participant has the right to submit a work, written in Greek, which must be original, written entirely by him/herself, not a product of translation, not published in print or electronic format in the past (including publications on social media) and not have been awarded in another literary competition.
  10. By participating, each contestant accepts that his/her work will be evaluated, that he/she agrees to the terms of the contest and accepts the decision of the jury, which is final and not open to dispute.
