Vikos Gorge is a unique landscape at the heart of the North Pindus National Park; it is a 800 m deep canyon with a length of 20 km. From early summer until early autumn one can walk through the gorge starting from the village of Monodendri and ending at Vikos or Mikro Papigo (5-6 hours), following an obvious and way-marked path. You can also admire the gorge from above. There are two excellent viewing points from where you can enjoy the panorama of the gorge of Vikos at “Oxia” near Monodendri and “Beloi” near Vradeto.
