Under the auspices of the UAI (Union académique internationale – or International Academic Union), an effort to create a database and geolocalize the remnants of the Ancient Roman World was created, combining archaeological sites, toponymy and cartographical data.

The publication included cataloguing and mapping all the information on sites and landforms in the Roman Empire.

Anavasi realized under the supervising and instructions of archaeologist Pavlos Karvonis the mapping of the areas of Cyclades and Central Greece.
